Honoring The Beauty In History

Keeping a 150-Year-Old Church Alive

The Parish House on Union is the former Delphi United Methodist church in Delphi Indiana. The church was originally dedicated in February of 1870.

That Sunday of the dedication ceremony, all other churches held their worship services with the congregation at the newly-built Methodist Episcopal Church. At the end of that service, a young couple came forward and asked to be married. TheĀ  couple was married right then, and ever since then this historic church has been host to many generations of couples look to wed. In 2019, Union Center Group LLC purchased the property from the Delphi Preservation Society who had acted as stewards of the property for nearly 10 years since receiving it from the Delphi United Methodist Church when the church moved to a new location.

Today, Union Center Group operates this historic complex as The Parish House on Union. The property includes the main sanctuary, an attached parsonage (with two overnight suites coming soon), and a three-floor education building that now hosts our banquet hall and hotel rooms (coming soon).

The goal today is the same as it has been from the beginning; to keep the complex as a living center of celebration here in this historic canal town near Lafayette, Indiana and Purdue University. Convenient to get to from Monticello, Kokomo, Logansport and anywhere in North Central Indiana, and ready for any type of function you may have planned! Special hourly and weekday rates are available to for conferences, training, meetings and more.
